Graduate Fashion Week Gala Award Winners 2010

{YBA} Universities Fashion Talent: Wednesday night saw the finale of Graduate Fashion Week, which has provided students from over 20 universities the opportunity to showcase their designs on the runway. The event was brought to a close with a spectacular star-studded gala show, which began with a surprise performance by Britain’s Got Talent winners Diversity.

Gala Award Graduate Fashion Show: Taking home the highly sought-after River Island Gold Prize was Rebecca Thompson from Manchester School of Art, who was presented the £20,000 prize by Alberta Ferretti. Awards were also presented by Amelle from the Sugababes, Rachel Stevens , Erin O’Connor, and Zandra Rhodes.

Anna Lee’s textiles collection, which won the Zandra Rhodes Textiles Award, continued the theme of brights and colours, as you would expect from the Textiles category. Her tiger-tiger prints were extreme in richness, with practically glowing reds and oranges. Decorated with plate necklaces hanging down over the chest.
