{YBA} Famous singer Madonna and her 13-year-old daughter Lourdes (nicknamed Lola) codesigned the “Material Girl” line, so don’t expect racy cone-shaped bras to invade Macy’s racks. The line will debut with a range of clothes, jewelry, purses and shoes with plans to foray into beauty next year.

It aims to capture the latest trends at an affordable price ($12 to $40) and to incorporate Lola’s fashion taste.”You will really like the way Lola dresses, and I think this line is absolutely an extension of her taste,”

Madonna collaborated with her daughter Lourdes for Material Girl and is now tying to achieve more in fashion industry.This celebrity clothing range will hit US department store Macy’s on August 3,2010.

Madonna, 51, says that it was fashion designer and good friend Stella McCartney who encouraged the burgeoning design talent of Lola when she was 8 years old.But it is the Material Mom is a fashion icon. Madonna is currently in Dolce & Gabbana spring-summer ads. Previously she has modeled in add campaigns for Louis Vuitton, Versace and the Gap.

In 2007 she created a limited-edition capsule collection with H&M stores called M by Madonna.Madonna would join a long line of celebrities entering the fashion biz in a big way (as opposed to throwing your name on a line of T-shirts and hoodies).

Madonna’s next film project is said to be a bio-pic about the romance between Wallis Simpson and Edward, the Prince of Wales.
