The Perfect 5 iPad Photography Apps

As the dust settles from the launch, we’re seeing developers get down to creating some great, truly useful photography apps. This list of apps will sort, edit, capture, legalize and light your images, so read on!

Photo Sort:

Photo-Sort enables you to organize your photos directly on your iPad, without any synchronization to your PC or MAC. Create folders and sub-folders, Cut, copy, paste and delete folders and photos, Rename folders and photos, Export your photos and photo albums to your computer, drag, swipe, flick, pinch, zoom, rotate and slide show features.

Easy Release:

Lets photographers and other creative professionals make model and property releases right on their iPhone or iPad. You can save, sort, file and email the releases.

ShutterSnitch:

A wireless tethering app that lets you shoot images on a DSLR or Point-and-shoot and see them appear live on the iPad. I’m going to be going over this one in detail in a few days.

Photogene:

Still one of the best editing apps out there and the iPad version is much easier to use than the iPhone version, mostly due to more screen real-estate.

DSLR Slate:

A digital slate specifically designed for use with HDDSLR productions and works with iPads and the iPhone/iTouch. The app operates as a traditional slate, providing you with all the standard information, but it also goes a step further and provides information tailored to HDDSLR production, allowing you to log shutter speed, ISO, aperture, lens, and many other details.
